Prof Michael Brodsky
Michael C. Brodsky, M.D. is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology and the Knights Templar Endowed Professor of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His practice consists of general pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus but he has a dedicated interest in neuro-ophthalmologic disorders of childhood. He just completed the 3rd edition of his single-authored textbook entitled Pediatric Neuro-Ophthalmology. He has also elucidated many of the neurologic mechanisms of infantile strabismus and has defined the subcortical pathways involved in the generation of these movements. He has proposed a mechanism to explain the development of infantile nystagmus in early infancy. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and given many guest lectureships both nationally and internationally.
