Dr Noel Alpins AM, of Melbourne, is a widely recognised clinician, investigator, and speaker, and the developer of a comprehensive approach to astigmatism analysis called the Alpins Method. He was an early adopter of small-incision cataract surgery, and incisional as well as laser refractive surgical techniques.

From the former “homelands” of South Africa to Australia’s own neighbourhood – Indonesia, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Myanmar – he has worked with local colleagues on empowering communities to deliver and improve their eye care.

Coleman, MD, PhD is the Fran and Ray Stark Foundation Professor of Ophthalmology at the Stein Eye Institute of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA; Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology, and Professor of Epidemiology in the UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health.

Professor Lyndon da Cruz did both his medical undergraduate and doctorate trainings at
the University of Western Australia. He carried out his post-doctoral research on the Howard Florey fellowship (NHMRC and Royal Society) in London. He completed retinal specialty training in both the UK and Australia. He is currently a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He holds the academic position of Professor of Stem Cell and Retinal Transplantation Surgery at University College London.

Bonnie An Henderson is an internationally-recognized expert in cataract and refractive surgery. She is a partner at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and a Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Henderson is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Refractive Surgery and will serve as the President of American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery in 2017. Dr. Henderson has authored over 125 articles, papers, book chapters, and abstracts and has delivered over 275 invited lectures worldwide.

Kikkawa, MD, FACS is Professor and Chief of the Division of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Vice Chairman at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) Department of Ophthalmology and Shirley Eye Institute in La Jolla. He holds a joint appointment as Professor in the UCSD Division of Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons.
Prof Michael Brodsky
Michael C. Brodsky, M.D. is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology and the Knights Templar Endowed Professor of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His practice consists of general pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus but he has a dedicated interest in neuro-ophthalmologic disorders of childhood.
